Academic & University Works: Editorial & Publishing

Writing, production, and design work from my BA Communication coursework and university involvements.

Magazine - Excellence Award

Reframe

A magazine produced as a midterm requirement, featuring an original concept developed by the class. Each student contributed to the writing process and took on a role within the editorial board. I served as Managing Editor and Writer and contributed to the magazine’s overall content. The project received the Excellence Award at the 11th Philippine Student Quill Awards under Division 4: Publications (Category 24).

Bulletin article - 2024

Tingraw

An article published in “Tingraw”, the official bulletin of the University of Santo Tomas–Legazpi, covering the university’s Paskuhan 2023 celebration. I collaborated with two other writers to document and report on the event.

Literary folio

Muklat

As a final requirement for NSTP 2 under the Literary Training Service component, Communication students were tasked with creating a literary folio documenting their immersion experience at Arimbay Elementary School. I served as Editorial Assistant and Writer, contributing two articles, one of which I co-wrote with my classmate and friend, Donna Zipagan.

Literary folio

Reroute

A collaborative magazine or literary folio produced by the third-year Communication class as a final requirement for “Digital Publishing”. Each student was tasked with contributing at least three pages, which could feature articles, creative fiction, photobooks, advertisement designs, or other forms of content. Students were also responsible for designing their own pages.

Magazine concept

Taya

“Taya” is my final quiz output, centered on the concept of showcasing Filipino traditional and contemporary games (Larong Pinoy). The task required us to develop a magazine concept, including its name, an explanation of its overall theme, and the design concept for its inside pages, as well as create an original cover art design for the proposed magazine.
